On the 26^th of November, is the day I visit Penang Georgetown again. This is the 3^rd week continuously visiting the same place. I enjoyed a lot with the PKA gangs …

Closing + Prizing Ceremony AGE

On the 21^st of October, Monday blues … TIRED because A.G.E just end.

On the 22^nd of October, Tuesday, I plan to jio Sophia for dinner at Tekun. MANATAU Sarah and Sam also join us. I introduce Uncle Hooi’s Chinese food, but Sophia plan to eat the Malay ones. End up, she order a plate of Nasi Goreng Cili Padi that taste good too … Then later on, here comes Dolly and Lilian. All girls surrounded my table, excited chi chat with them. Dolly last time used to tell lame jokes to me, then I use the same lame jokes cheat a girl call Lilian. Haha … xD

On the 23^rd of October, Wednesday, the day of closing and prizing ceremony for AGE. Supposed we booked DKH, but there is so hot, looks like the air-con didn’t functioning well, so we switch to the next room, DKG. Around 8pm, we start our first section, which is ice-breaking. We played a game call “The Butt Chair” game, means 2 teams have to cross over the other’s team side by sitting their butt crossing on the chair. Everyone laugh a lot there.

Later on, here comes the sharing section. I request everyone to share their own feelings in this AGE. “What do you want to appreciate?” “To you, what do you think AGE is?” “What do you learn in this AGE?” These are some simple questions. I can remember Ah Thock share his learning in this AGE, he said AGE reflects our lives, the problems we faced in AGE might occur in reality. We need to be brave and try to overcome these problems in order to success. For me, AGE is a process of GROWING. Whenever you fail, you stand up, and you never give up, until you won the victory!

After sharing, is the prizing ceremony session. They are so excited to find out who won the race. I announced from the 5^th to the champion. 5^th place goes to “Chic Magnet 1.0”; 4^th goes to “4 in 1”, 3^rd goes to “Chic Magnet 2.0”. Here comes to the champion? Is either Ah John’s group or Ah Thock’s group. The champion goes to TGIS, Ah Thock’s group won the race, while 3G1B won the 2^nd place. Every teams were rewarded a hamper, that means everyone get their gifts.

I proceed to the my next event, 下乡团学习站 … There, they play the same game again just like last year, using drama to act the spirit and vision of XXT. Later on, Tate ask me to stay there, so I stay there. MANATAU, “happy birthday to u” played again in front of everyone. I’m so shocked they help me celebrated my belated birthday. I love XXT …

A.G.E 2013 Part 2 ...

This is A.G.E part 2 ~

Early in the morning, I woke up around 6.30am. I feel energetic to start the part 2 on this day, because today is the race participants need to run all the time, they will be explore Penang George Town from 8am to 2pm. We had our early breakfast at 7am, and then everyone need to gather at hall around 7.40am. I just told them some important instructions and gave them a “Race Explanation”.

How the races conducted? There will be 10 different missions in 10 different places. First, participants have to make their choice whether which place they want to go first at George Town. Each success mission they completed will rewarded 50 points. They can use their races advantages and try to gain extra bonus points by capturing the mural paint arts there. Lastly, they need to be at Komtar bus stop at 2pm.

The race starts at 8.05am, Ah Thock’s team went first with the transport advantages. Other teams will be send to Gurney, while Ah Thock’s team will reach Burma Road there. Others teams have to wait for the next 10 minutes, then continues with the 2^nd placed group, which is Jai Voon. Then continue the end, until Isaac group, the last group. Later on, I also followed Andrew’s car to Town with my crews, Daphny, Yen Mei and Tzi Wei.

During the race, game marshal is the one who in charge everything. Throughout the whole game, we as committee members run here and run there, we are spying them … First, we came to Esplanade, we met Jai Voon’s team. They want to use their advantage to gain some bonus points from us. The game is very simple, they need to play scissors paper stone in a very special way in order to get 10 bonus points. At last, they won!

Later on, we pass by Gun Ying temple, saw Ah Thock & John’s group. They seems very fast, because they completed 2-3 missions ady around 10am. Later on, we ate our lunch at CF Café. I ate Ho Kien Mee and Po Pia … Finish our lunch, we went to Town Hall just to show the participants about the video. Participants need to dance the MV according the video given by Yen Mei. They did a very great job, a lot of funny dancing post there.

Around 1pm, we went to Jalan Penang eat Chendol. Chee Ohn challenge himself to calculate how fast he can finish a bowl of Chendol. “23 seconds!” WOW … Our last station is Perangin Mall, participant continue the photo hunt task 2.0. I saw Yee Shun group very fast finished this task, maybe is quite simple for them. Lastly, everyone gather at Komtar bus stop at 2pm. Everyone groups arrived there sharp but , unfortunately, Isaac’s group late arrived. I announced AGE 2013 had come to an end, and I greed them Congratulations because they finally complete the race during these two days. We shall meet again during our closing and prizing ceremony 3 days later. Next, we had lunch at Perangin Mall then I follow Hui Shing & Yee Shun, they plan to stay back to buy some goods back to USM, so I planned to stay with them.

Back to USM is about 5pm, I straight away go Captain Ball at Aman field. Wow … So energetic de me ~ YEAH … At night, I have to attend post-mortem some more … What a TIRED week. Finally is DONE …

Thank God for always taking care of me ... Although is TIRED, but it’s WORTH!

A.G.E 2013 Part 1 ...

The race starts! On the 19^th and 20^th October …

I woke up at 6am, then I quickly call Andrew to confirm whether he can fetch me to DKU, or else I need to walk all the way there early in the morning. YES! He say okay, he fetch me and Ah Thock there. Once we reached there, I saw many of our committee also reached too. It’s seems everyone all well prepared and excited to race together. Meanwhile, I quickly brief those who haven’t listens my briefing yesterday. Around 7, we saw some participants reached already. When comes to 7.15am, it’s seems everyone reached. We thought got late comers, but seems everyone can be there on time. YEAH … Before we start, pastor pray for us and we surrender everything to God.

After they register everything, first of all, start with Andrew in opening speech. Later on, I also welcome them and called them make a big circle. After on, we start introduce ourselves one by one. I started a very simple ice-breaking game, call “the last man stand”. Everyone has to catch each and other with touching them and call out his or her name. The purpose of this game is to know each other’s name in a very exciting environment. It’s seems everyone had already awake. YEAH … Next level is they need to stay to their group and start to catch other’s group members. Next section, I give them 10 minutes to think their group name and group cheers. 10 minutes later, some very funny group names and cheers created by them. For example: 4 in 1, 3G1B, TGIS, Chic Magnet 1.0 & Chic Magnet 2.0 … I will not forget the 3G1B cheers, is so EPIC. It sounds like this: “What is our cheers, this is our cheers. YEAH!” LOL …

After that, I started to brief them. I told them this is a explore race. They need to compete with each other in order to win this race. This race is all based on points calculation, whoever is the fastest will get the highest point in the first day. Each team will have one game marshal, they will meet them at the next station. The first task is call “photo hunt” at USM. They need to find 9 different locations in our university and take picture there. I shout 321, the race starts after they shouted their cheer. After they run, Andrew and me sit car lelong around there. First, we saw got 3 teams decided to go pharmacy school there first. But seems got two teams like Phoena team went to the long way instead the exact way. KEKE … Next, when we reached by SOLLAT there, I saw Ubi team trying to shoot at the SOLLAT bus stop there, actually there is not the exact place. KEKE … The exact place is the second bus stop in front there. They asked me some clues, I told them you walked all the way y’all sure can find it. Finally, Andrew and me reached Sg.Dua pondok, we enjoying our breakfast dapao by Jia Ning. 20 minutes later, the first group reached, is Ubi’s group & Dolly’s group. We sat Chee Ohn and Jia Ning car respectively to our next station, Kek Lok Si.

Once I reached Kek Lok Si, I follow the two teams walk up there. They have to find the station master, Yen Mei, as me too … We keep on finding, I keep on calling, we are still unable to find her. At last, the participants found her, and I’m the one who keep on run there run here, because I heard Yen Mei said she at car park. So, I run all the way up to the car park there. MANATAU is bottom of the car park, not on top. HAIZ … There, participants need to answer some simple questions in order to pick their tools.

Unfortunately, most of the group redo 3 times in order to success in this mission. The questions are so tricky … KEKE … Next, they need to go down to find Teren at the famous Air Hitam’s Laksa stall there. Once they found Teren, they need to use their tools to eat finish a bowl of Laksa. Meanwhile, I also enjoyed my laksa dish there.

I waited Andrew to send me to Penang Hill. That time, we accidently saw John group passing by us. I told Andrew: Look there, I noticed they all wearing a black frame glass, looks like a bit nerd. HAHA … Anyway, PENANG hill, I’m heading now. Once we reached there, WOW! PENANG hill had renovated, so brand NEW … But, JIA LARK … DAMM so many people … A funny incident happen inside there while we waiting for the long queue. Chee Ohn (outside) called me, and said that the tickets are not enough for the remaining teams. So, we saw each other face to face, but we are using our phone to communicate, because a big mirror blocking us. Then the security guard saw us, he felt that I’m so KESIAN, so he opened a special entrance for me to go out talk with Chee Ohn. LOL … Yee Shun and Yan Wen them keep on laughing … Looks like I’m a BOSS can go in go out. Once reached up to the top, we saw a lot of mist, I thought it going to rain soon. MANATAU, betul betul rain! Participants need to find the first station master, Li Kwin. They need complete a simple task again, which are they need to drink water and guess a song. There are so lucky, they managed to guess most of the song correctly.

Next, they need to find another station master, Han Loong, which Li Kwin described him as “black T-shirt, Hip Hop Style, and hairstyle”. I also tried my best to find him, but I can’t found him. At last, someone found him at a very ULU place. Once, Ubi team found him, Ubi straight away complain, and she said “you where got HIP HOP style”. KESIAN SOOPER kena complain. There, they have to complete a simple mission which they need to record a 3 minutes short video, complete the story: “Once we reached Penang hill, we saw …” Each group got their own funny presentation. Ubi’s group said “Angry bird slipper”; Yee Shun’s group said “Rome”; Yun Qi’s group got 4 different kinda of language. Btw, Yun Qi Cantonese sounds like HK Cantonese. We laugh a lot there.

Our next station is First Avenue, the task “Wanted”. Participants need to hunt a mysterious girl, Ai Choon. They had given some tips like “wearing earphone, slippers and pretty colored leg nails.” This task is a bit too easy for them, they found Ai Choon very fast. So I decided to add another mysterious person inside there. They need to find a wearing spec person, Tzi Wei. HEHE … The purpose of doing this is to delay their time, because is a bit too early for them to go to the next checkpoint at Gurney there. Find Ai Choon is easy, but find Tzi Wei is hard for them. HAHAHA …

Next station is gurney drive, and I’m late there because my driver is late. 3 groups had already reached there, but I’m still on the way to gurney. Because of the heavy rain outside, I had to conduct my mission in Gurney Plaza inside. The task is find 3 foreigners, capture photo with them and ask them some simple questions. I call the participants to find me first in order to start their mission, because I’m the last station master there. Once I reached there, Yun Qi and Hui Shing found me, they quickly run towards me, and quickly call their team members gather together to listen my mission explanation. Later on, Jai Voon and Joey team found me too. The next task is, they have to go to Gurney food court there to dapao their dinner. The lucky two teams went there, which are Ah Thock and Jai Voon team. But, some of the groups terpaksa dapao McD as their dinner back to Penang Water Sports Centre (PWSC) because of the heavy rain. Daphny, Li Kwin and me also stay there eat McD. KESIAN gila … Before we leave, we bought a cake back because we wanted to celebrate someone birthday.

Finally we reached there, 7.30pm! And still left Isaac group haven’t arrived yet. Once I reached, I saw they just start to eat their dinner. It’s seems so nice. After I bath, our committee gang keep on discussing how to surprise them, especially Andrew and Ah Thock. Someone suggested we celebrate the October babies together, so Sooper quickly check who is the lucky one. These October babies are Andrew, Ah Thock, Yun Qi, De Jing and of cause ME la … We plan to call them out, gave them some punishment, but is hard to relate Andrew with Yun Qi them. But at the end we came out a super good idea, and this will be conducted by Tzi Wei. HEHE …

At night, around 8.30pm, we start our first section, which is sharing. Before that, Chee Ohn lead them a simple ice-breaking which is the “worm game”. I keep on heard many laughing noises and excited screaming plus shouting noises there. In that sharing time, everyone had to read a passage call “The End”, it’s something to let participants think of their life. I join John group, after they finished reading, I ask them a simple question, “What will you do if you know you are dying tomorrow?” Most of them share they will spend time with their family, but one of them share he will keep far from his family because he don’t want his family to be unhappy. In my opinion, I will rethink and reflect back what is going on my life, what did I do now, isit helping the community, isit shining Jesus Christ, isit glorify HIM? Next, I throw out another “EPIC” question, “What is your purpose of life now?” share with me one simple and realistic example. I share to them I want to use my life to help the community, I want my life now can impact others, I believe my God will be the ruler of my life. Most of them share they will work hard next time, earn money to themselves and for their family. This is the purpose of life, I know, but what else more?  

Chee Ohn - Worm game ~ 

Next section, is a very relaxing moment, we played “Supper Games”. I told them this supper games will brings some advantages. There are some few simple supper games that they played such as “squid time”, “biscuit time”, “super-ring time”, “coke time”, and “apple time”. Everyone seems very competitive to fight for these advantages. I also called up by Tzi Wei to volunteer to bite the biscuit on my face with just using my tongue and teeth. Anyway, it is a very nice experience.

After supper games, by right is time for them to sleep. But now, this is the time we plan to celebrate “their” birthday later on. Same again, I invited Tzi Wei to conducted a very short sharing moment, call “Pre-post mortem”. Everyone must share their opinion in AGE, whether they want to appreciate or to complain. Later on, that particular person will bless someone else, it means pass to the next person. Some of them complain the HIP HOP style; some of them complain the “green guy”; some of them thank to the committee; some of them learnt something new like how to communicate; some of them say very tired and many more. This is the part I enjoyed the most because we share our feelings together, we laugh together. I really love to “fellowship” …

After everyone’s sharing, Tzi Wei straight away point to Yen Mei and Andrew, ask them to sing the state anthem song. He also pointed to Yun Qi, John, De Jing, Jai Voon and some of them (forget ady), he start question them a lot of things. For instance, “Why you are so slow?” Why you are not so responsible?” and many more. Lastly, he pointed at me too, scold me because I didn’t plan well the race. My expression that time is very DOWN. (acting la of cause) We all accept this punishment, which are we all need to use our butt to write “SORRY” this word. End up, everyone laugh all the time, only my expression is very DOWN. (u know larhh must TIPU them mahhh …) Jai Voon saw me so serious, she seems also start to be serious … (KENA tipu) When Tzi Wei count 5,4,3,2,1 … “Happy Birthday” song sang by everyone. I guess Yun Qi and De Jing will be surprise, while Andrew and Ah Thock maybe already know what is going on. We celebrate the October babies together there. What a wonderful moment …

On the 17^th of October, Thursday, Winnie, Shirley, Ren Jie and me planned to cycle inside USM. What a long time didn’t cycle already. Two little girls memang tak de stamina cycling …

At night, Ling Ling jio me out for makan at green island western food restaurant. The environment there was AWESOME nice leiii … I saw the menu, there wrote 100% FOC for the birthday guy birthday on that particular day. AWWWW … I miss this, so I only manage to get a 50% discount for my dishes. Since is 50%, so I ordered a Combo chicken with lamb comp dishes. YEAH …

One thing, I didn’t aspect, these branch of friends suddenly sang happy birthday song to me. OWW … PKA, another family I have in USM. Thanks to them …

On the 18^th of October, Friday, this day is my most packed day. Early in the morning, I have class at 9. Then later on BE at 12.30pm. This is my first time playing Cajon in BE, serving P&W is AWESOME! During bakti lunch time, we also celebrating the September and the October birthday babies ... Another celebration for me ... I'm so blessed. Thanks to everyone who blessed me and wrote notes to me. :)

I felt blessed I can serve there. Later on, I need to rushed for my IOP at 3 at SOLLAT. Btw, I’m quite nervous that time. I prayed God provided me the wisdom and confidence to speak in front of my course mates. I did it!

Later on, I need to meet Isaac at Tesco at 4, we need to buy the things that we need to use during AGE. Around 5.30pm, I rushed to my first meeting at DK Foyer. This is my 下乡回乡’s first meeting. Next meeting is at 8, this is the time I need to explain the AGE 2 days 1 night game and event flow. I had a very long briefing to them until 11.30pm. Wow…

Wow ~ Why I'm so leng zai there one ? HAHA ...

The last meeting, I rushed back to Tekun, my PKA Christmas celebration meeting. So, this time, I got one junior coordinator accompany me in this meeting, this guy is call Yong Wei. He had the potential in leading games, I believe he will perform the best on that day. Btw, he jokes a lot … This is what I want him to attract audience, so that we can manage to break the ice as we are so call the ICE-BREAKING department.

Lastly before sleep, I pray again for my very big event tomorrow.

My 21st Birthday Celebration in USM ...

Today, is the day I had been waiting for so long… 

16^th of October, is my BIG day. Happy Birthday to Adrian Lim Oon Tian …

11.57pm, I spend some time just to give thanks to my heavenly Father, I pray and thank you Lord for his blessings and guidance in me for the past 21 years. I pray that I’m so bless to have a sweet family, my parents and 3 beloved brothers. My name 恩添, means abundance of GRACE. Thank you JESUS!

Well, my clock shows 12am, it’s already 16 October, I told myself first, Happy Birthday Adrian. (Hand phone ranging)… My beloved family called me. They sang happy birthday song, wished & blessed me. Thank You Papa Mama, and Didi, I love y’all … Next, I started to look at my FB wall page. Thanks all my dear friends who wished me. I knew … Lai liao lai liao … It’s the time for me to reply them one by one. Spamming at FB about 2 hours plus then is time to bed.

Early in the morning, since I wanted to skip tutorial class, I slept a bit longer. Although is my birthday today, I need to go to DK foyer there continue open LWCF booth just to promote our AGE event. I’m a bit worried about the participants, because on that day we just got 6 people paid only. But end up, thank God suddenly another 8 more come and pay. YEAH …

During lunch time, Sharon and Ylim already want jio me go out for lunch celebrate my birthday. When I reached Sg.Dua, mana tau, Ylim can’t attend, just Sharon, Yi Qian and me. We went to Spices of Penang, Yi Qian read 香槟/冰箱 instead of 槟 … So funny … Thanks to them for celebrating my birthday.

At night, I have dinner with Andrew, Pheona and Olivia at Pizza Hut before our CG starts. Our CG topic that day is “Movie Night-WWJD”. This is a powerful and thought-provoking story about 4 individuals are all vowing to walk in “the steps of Jesus.” Every day and every decision becomes a turning point in their lives as they must ask themselves: “What would Jesus do?” When I faced problems, always pray and try to reflects “WWJD”, “what he wants me to do?” This reminds me a song called “I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back no turning back!” Once I decided to follow him, I must entrust everything to him.

Finish movie and sharing, I quickly find Chee Ohn to discuss about the coming AGE updates as he wants to leave early. Manatau, suddenly, “Happy Birthday to you…” Owww … Another birthday surprise at LWCF. Thanks to all brother and sisters in this CF. I’m so glad I can join this small family. Later on, pastor Looi prayed for me and everyone enjoy eating the cake. After finished celebrating, we have to continue our preparation for AGE.

Back to my room, I felt so blessed! I just want to say Thank You heavenly Father who put me in USM. I prayed I can continue to used my life to serve the community, to love my friends, and to share JESUS love to everyone. 

Something Fishy ~

On the 13^th of October, Sunday, nothing much special …

On the 14^th of October, Monday, no class, is a holiday. But, I’m busying typing with my IOP. Meanwhile I also watch drama. At night, after bible study, I had a long conversation with her at IK Café… We share our feelings in our own society.

On the 15^th of October, Tuesday, I attend “Something Fishy” at Gospel Hall Centre, an evangelism workshop for us fishers of man. First, Andy Mau leads us a simple ice-breaking, called the Butt fight. Everyone have to use their butt to snatch the chair, meanwhile they need to introduce themselves and play scissors paper stone, whoever wins can continue this race. I saw Shaun and Yi Hong quite steady, they gently play this game. WOW … Next is the P&W, thanks to Anthony leading us an awesome wonderful moment praising God. Before Dashini starts her teaching, we had hands-on fishing. We need to use our hands to catch the fish from one pail to another. We learned how careful and watchful we have to be when dealing with fragile unsaved lives. Further on, we had been thought to share the good news to our friends. Evangelism is a long process, not a task mission. We can always share “their stories”, “HIS stories” and “our stories” to the non-believers. Lastly, we learned CPR, “cultivating curiosity”, “proclaiming the truth”, “reap the harvest”. We even raped it out. YEAH …
