I found U, Library!

A very long time didn’t touch my blog, this is because too busy for the proposal of Pesta Hoki. Saturday to Sunday whole day went back to Malim Nawar and meet my family. 3 weeks never see them, suddenly miss them. Thanks Pastor Looi and Gan fetch me to and back from Penang, they are so kind and didn’t charge any fees.

Monday usual got class, but I miss the English class because I went into the wrong room. Then, at night I attend bible study at LWCF. After that, look at the drum, I feel I want to play it. So, I ask Gan permission, he say SURE ~ Oh yeah … I start play and some more play with a pro pianist. Sherry ask me, do u know this song “Shen Me Yang?” Ow… I’m so surprise that a girl from Sarawak knows this youth songs. We play many songs together… It was so enjoy!

Tuesday I attend class at usual and then during the night attend my first meeting in Pesta Hoki. I gonna to prepare a proposal to them by this Friday.

Wednesday BM class, teacher calls us to write karangan. OMG! Had been 2-3 years never write long karangan, DIE loh … At night, first time doing work at the new library. This library was so cold and cool, I plan to study at this library all the time at my U life. You are not alone again, with HER again. :P

Today, I will remember this day. A prof scold me in front of the class, says I never copy down the notes. So MALU… Finally, my medical check-up day arrive. First time I go in to the Pusat Kesejahteraan, and do medical check-up. Feel xin xian… J

The days I play Dota and FB-ing ...

Wednesday just only have 1 BM class. OMG! Our BM teacher are super cute, he teach us Kata Nama today. First of all, he asks: “Apa itu kata nama?” His answer was kata nama adalah apa-apa yang dapat dilihat dengan mata, ataupun apa-apa yang tidak dapat dilihat dengan mata. For example, hantu, then he tells us ghost story. J After class, I went to Convo and take a look, there got F&B and games. I’m lucky because I won a Sunway voucher after I played the basketball shooting. It is worth 20 minutes waiting for the Nasi Kerabu, is was nice. Later on, back hostel, Dota and Fb-ing the whole day.

On Thursday, I accompany Jayne for photo shooting around the school with her DSLR camera. Later on, Dota and Fb-ing again. Haiz … Sienz … At night, I and Sheryn attend bible study at LWCF. We all know that God created us, we must worship and glorify his name. The purpose of living in this world is so important, we keep on sharing about our faith and stories. J

Friday, same again … L Ready, is the time to BALIK kampong lurh … I need to wake up at 4.45, and wait at RST guard house at 5am. Thank God, pastor Looi can send me to Kampar, without any payment, is FREE ride, very appreciate it. J

Found BB Kaki ...

Today BM class, we wait for half an hour, our teacher haven’t arrive yet, my other friends decide to leave the class, but I’m still waiting there. Finally, 30 minutes later, I also can’t TAHAN liao, I zao too … Around 12.45pm, attend the bengkel class, quite bored, and I fishing a lot that moment. After our BM Media class, I decide to go for basketball. So, I call Ah Thock them, but they all say they too tired, no energy. No choice, I have to go alone. The lucky thing is, God really prepare a person for me when I really need a BB kaki. Once I hop into the bus, a guy ask me: “Are you going bb later?” I reply YEAH … Finally, I found a kaki from Tekun too … Thus, I’m glad and I can meet new friends again plus can go BB every time.

Congratulation from Pesta Hoki, I manage to become an assist coordinator in SEM, Sponsorship and marketing. It’s a good time for me to plan events and fully 100& commit in this international event. We had been given a briefing of SEM in Pesta Hoki after the ceremony. I’m glad again because I appoint as a games department coordinator. J

Travel Penang, Ki Xiao eating

Trip travel around Penang, this is what I did today. First of all, I went to Bukit Bendera, the syiok thing is sit that train (looks like roller coaster). We walk around there and chat with new friends, actually nothing special, just a bit windy. Next, we went to Kek Lok Si for our lunch, Laksa … Ah Thock says this Laksa so small, order another mee lah… Xiao … So, I learn from him too. After finishing my laksa and sugar cane juice, I went for a Mee Goreng and an ABC. Wow … I can’t believe I can eat a lot. Around 5pm, we went to Batu Ferringi beach. That one more Sienz … When night comes, it time for me to eat again. We went to Gurney and I eat Char Kuey Tiao, Muer Ji, Rojak, Soya and Cendol. Delicious wor … Reach Tekun around 9.45pm, mana tao meet dao Eylnn Ooi, so chat with her and share our experience in camp. Finally, I took a photo with her. J

Attend 2 Sunday service

Today is my first time to attend Sunday service. I attend Chinese service at U-care at 9am and the other one is English service at LWC. After lunch, I walk here and walk there, thinking of whether want to go to Quensbay Mall to watch movie. I call Chong, I tell her I go there buy tickets first, she say ok! MANA tao, I reach there, her friend unable to join us, then she plan to watch at night. Thanks so Simon, he lend a car from his friend and bring me back to USM by driving his friend car.

Almost 6.15pm, I start walk to Sungai Dua guard house, it just take me 15 minutes, I’m able to arrive there sharply. But, they 7pm only reach. Haiz … Between the free period, I call my friends and chui sui with them. I had call Yi En, Jian Ming and Christine Yee. Later on, we wait the bus at the bus stop, we wait about 45 minutes the 304 bus only arrive there. We 3 watch Resident Evil together at 8.05pm. RE very chi gek … J

The world is so small

Early in the morning, I hiking with pastor Looi and some friend. I thought it is easy because pastor says just only 20 mins, MANA TAO … Is just one way plus all in stairs… WOW, quite challenging… After eating breakfast with pastor, while in car, pastor ask about my home town, then we realize my dad home town is also exactly the same as him. OMG! The world is pretty small. I quickly call my dad, then my dad talk with him, and only realize they went to the same Methodist church but in different section, pastor went to English service while my dad went to Chinese. (Actually I thought my papa went to English service.)

During afternoon, Ran and I went to Quensbay Mall for our first time. J I can’t expect he belanja me sushi, while I just belanja him McD ice-cream. At night, finally my first CF gathering, and my first time at U-care. I brought Jayne and his senior friend Simon to U-care, fuyoh… Can’t aspect I can manage to bring friends. The new girl I meet call Sheryn, yuan lai is kai wen’s friend, and Yi Sheng’s sister. Oh no … The world is so small again… 

Someone that I don't know for the past 20 years...

Today is Friday, the only day I don’t have any class at all. So, Ah Thock brings me to Gym again. This time there got a Gym instructor comes teach us. He says first first beginner must play or train Chess, Upper Chess. It’s so hard for me because I need a lot of energy to carry it. Later on, my whole day staying at my room watching “We are not naughty.” At night, skype with Yin-Bai Chen and Angel Cheng, and I share a lot of xin shi to them. HEHE… While I want to sleep, suddenly got one girl name Hueyin FB chat with me, I’m surprise because she was my neighbor. She took matrix and study at USM management course for 2^nd year. WOW … The funny thing is, I don’t know her at all for the past 20 years. L

Terpaksa attend class!

Today meet Chong again for lunch, this time we went to Bakti Permai makan, I ate mihun goreng tambah telur mata. After that, we went to WUS taklimat, unfortunately our lecturer didn’t cancel the class, so we have to shift to kuliah and study. We study “asas penerbitan destop”, a project based course, quite fun, because need to spend a lot of time on computer works.

At night, I and Chong reach DTSP at 7.20pm. We sit at the hall chat until 8 plus, I keep on sharing about Christianity to her and some pesta hoki information. During the event, we cabut lari and went to Stadium Hoki, because I need to attend the Interview. Hmm … I’m trying to convince the seniors to let me become their assistant so I help the society moreover I help myself too. I believe I can get it.

Back to DTSP again, find my another 38 friend, call Elynn Ooi and Bean! They start joke with me, GILA with me. Enjoy… 

Survival Kits at LWCF

Today is my first BM class, our BM teacher is a Chinese, cool… He can speak very well in BM, and he keep on share stories to us. He laughs when it’s not funny and made us laugh together, LOL… What a cute teacher. After class, I walk by foyer DTSP, someone from Pesta Hoki come towards me and explain to me their events. I’m quite interested with this international sports event planning, maybe I will consider to join it.

Psychology class starts today also, I’m so excited too. WOW, unbelievable, 700 pax hall full with 800 students. When the teacher says u can now go fill up your tutorial class time, everyone berebut-rebut run and fill, can imagine how noisy and under control.

Ah Thock say 5pm meet ay gym, but I arrive there early at4.45pm. So, I mai buat dulu lurh… Until 5.30pm, they only arrived. I saw so many muscular people, so xian mu, one day I want to become one of them. Ah thock teach me how to do gym, how to train my muscular. 6pm we leave gym and run back to Tekun, reach Tekun at 6.30pm.

At night, survival kits starts, one event organize by LWCF. Finally I come to a Christian fellowship, I’m so excited again. At there, seniors give us some advice about the way of campus life. For example, activities help gain knowledge and building network, money management, ways of studies and many more. I gain some extra information I join this event. AGE, amazing grace explore race I’m coming for you … 

One leaves one comes

Finally I sleep 9 hours per day, 1 word, SHUANG! Early in the morning, don’t know why my back bone pain, I really scare got anything happen to me, HAIZ … My breakfast are Milo biscuit again, save money. Today is the second day of class, but my class starts at 3pm, I keep on planning what should I do. I do morning devotion and read some theology books. Later on, I ajak Yen Ning, my group members for lunch, and we go library together to discuss about our assignment, but end up Facebook at the library.

Check back my Facebook, Nancy says before got 2 to 3 friends taking same course as me, so I mai pergi cari, GUO RAN, I know them, 1 is call Shawn, 1 is call Nicole and 1 is call Michelle. Before class starts I talk to Shawn, I tell him, Hey, I know u are the CF president in Melaka school right? He so curios, and look at me, and reply, “hey, how u know?” I told him, I know Nancy 1 mahh… Haha, the word is so small he laugh and reply back.

Our class today is “BM Media writing”. It is all about BM writing skills. It is 2 hour class, 1 hour lecturer class and another hour is tutorial. After finish pengenalan, the Prof asks us to write our first work, the question is, “Tuliskan Diri Sendiri”, I knew that! J But, I write just only two paragraphs and it is super short, memang is hard for me to complete essays within 15 minutes.

After class, I decided to jog the whole RST hill first. I thought I can jog 2 rounds as same as Ah Thock, unfortunately I manage to jog only 1 round. This is because got high hills need to climb up, DAMM CHI LI … L

Today is also the day my roommate Lee leaves me, because he need to take care of his OKU friend. So sad, I’m alone. Suddenly, Ah thock tells me got a China student want to find a slot for staying, he ask me whether I can let him to stay with me. WOW, thanks God! One leave, one come again. He call Ran, from China 4 Chuan, study English studies for one semester. 

First class in U life

Today is my first class of university life, extremely excited. Today class I have “communication studies” and “human communication”. It’s totally different from secondary school level, it is a university standard, WOW.

Regarding about “communication studies” this class, I had to read a lot of history, definitions, view about communication. This course is a bit hard for me, because it is all theory, and I hate history the most. Before the Prof introduces what is communication about, he randomly pick students to answer this statement, unfortunately, “Adrian Lim” shout out loudly. HAIZ … I answer “komunikasi merupakan satu interaksi dengan orang lain dengan menggunakan bahasa.”

Next class is “human communication”. This class is super fun, I enjoyed a lot, so many LOL voices. The Prof saw our students are too many and the sits is not enough, then he says, “tidak lama lagi, banyak orang akan DROP kursus ini kerana pengalaman bagi tao saya kursus ini maksimum score adalah C+ sahaja.” OMG! But, never mind, this first class, I really learn a lot about human basic communications, I expect more fun class next time.

At night, enjoy my first cup noodles in university, no need to waste money for my dinner. Later on, got a bit boring, so keep on Facebook. 10.30pm sharp, going to bed, never go to bed for so early. 

PIMPIM Siswa

This is the story of PIMPIN Siswa camp of 3 days starting from 6 to 9 September. On the sixth, woke at 7.30am, and ate Nasi Lemak as my breakfast. We arrive at DUP Padang Kawat before 8.30am, but we need to wait until 9.30am for the registration of bus. I thought I can sleep again in the bus, but unfortunately we need to introduce one by one in front of everyone and then try to memorize the name before that people mention it. OMG! I sit at the back sekali, Sei dak … Abang Hajar Mydin super funny, he will denda those who can’t memorize the name, always dendaan is Nenek Kembayan yang GILA, sure got the word GILA. This time fortunately, I’m very lucky because I don’t have to memorize all the names before that.

We reach there around 11 something, and everyone start surveying the place that we stay later. For me, it just a normal simple camp site, it’s just same like PD camp I had been last time. In the whole afternoon, after divided into groups, we had an election of our ketua, which is called Ah Loong, and only one representative KENA, so everyone fully support him. When choosing Uda that time, I represent our company B to the election. I say that I can score A’s all the time because my name starts with an A. But I fail because there are 3 strong enemies… I’m quite surprise when our company choose Atik, a Chinese girl volunteer because Atik, and she says “Saya tak nak cakap banyak, saya akan gunakan action saya untuk buktinya. Wow, I’m so impressed with this outgoing girl called Jayne Chong. After that, we start to build our camp, and it’s not so difficult. Once we hear that anda boleh mandi dekat sungai, we all feel so syiok… Yes it is! The first time I mandi in the river and it so fun, the water is so cold and cool.

At night, after dinner, we had a ceramah first before we start our ice-breaking. What we play in the ice-breaking season? First game it is Focus, we need to focus what emcee that says to us. She say tepuk tangan, gosok-gosok, we must follow her carefully. Second game is dancing, we dance chicken dance again, we jump here and there, high here and there. Third game is call music orkrestra. When the songs starts play, we need to follow the melody and bit, and we need to act it out, like guitar style, piano style and more and more … I’m happy with that moment because many people praise me. KEKE … Some more got people ask me whether I had learn before dancing or music, I told them nope, and replied back I’m just like to participate and show the best I can, the most important thing is enjoy. The fourth game is 60-60 circle, is just a game that we mention out our name and try to know each other. The fifth game is Screening with the white cloth, we need to know the opposite person name and say it loudly after the white cloth pulled down. Betul-betul enjoy … The most syiok is got a girl says me I’m so hyperactive, her name is call Jayne Chong. She says that she is glad to meet a hyperactive friend like me. I’m so GAN DONG … After everything finish, we slept at 12am. Suddenly, “Toiyou… Cepat Bangun Bangun!” – Jungle Trekking time. This is the first time I go jungle trekking when it was raining, extremely HIGH! When go back to camp sleep, few hours later raining, our camp GG.Com already. We TERPAKSA shift to dewan there…

Early in the morning, I thought got what exercise, HABIS Ceramah pula, sure fishing there lah… Next, we had senamrobik, after that we had some tournament games. Those games I also got play before, tak Syiok sangat. Around 11am, we divided to our groups, and going to start our cooking competition. We are going to catch chickens and kill it and cook them, the funniest thing is the the chicken SHIT on my shirt, yucks … Our cooking are totally bad, because our fire keep on not burning plus raining day, but the most important thing is we have fun. We had an obstacle activity on 5pm plus some more raining, don’t know why always this kind of activity sure KENA rain and all mud. At night we learn this song, “atas bukit ada rumput, rumput cantik tak pernah lihat, rumput atas bukit, bukit yang cantik, eh, bukit yang cantik.” Follow by pokok, dahan, ranting, sarang, telur, burung, jambul, kutu, and kutu. During supper, we still enjoying BBQ, OMG, Malays memang eat a lot.

Sleep until the next morning 7am, cold environment. The third day nothing much to talk about. In conclusion, I’ve meet quite numbers of new friends and learn something about USM. This camp I meet a new girl, it super pretty and nice and active, I’m glad she so trust me, and willing friend with me. Back to USM, we eat dinner together, she belanja me tim, so appreciate. I’m super glad. 

Freedom to Tesco!

Walaowei … 6 taklimat need us to listen in the morning … Today is our last day of orientation, is our pleasure to invite Dr. Tun Mahadir to speak with us, we are lucky that we had an online webcam to interview with him at UM with all IPTAs together in the afternoon section.

At 4.30pm, we had a “Rombongan Bersama Tekun’s Aunties-aunties” to Tesco! After we took our matrix card, PPSL bring us to Tesco and buy our necessary needs and also rubber shoes. This is the first day we officially go out with a matrix card, we are FREEDOM from now on. Boon Chuan bring our Chinese kaki to eat Bak Kut Teh, but I decide to eat cost RM2.80 Wan Tan Mee because before that I ate 2 pieces of donut costly RM2 only. Boon Chuan also share some stories about food, he says he spend much money at food, he had spent RM1000 just only for Durians. Xiao …

At night, once we reach DTSP, Boon Chuan share with us about USM politics and PPSL stuff, he also says that if I want to join PPSL, I must be very active in Desasiswa, they will choose by themselves. Before we listen our PIMPIN Siswa taklimat, we need to listen another boring motivation talk, SIENZ … Actually the taklimat din’t talk a lot, he just mention the items we should bring and shouldn’t and the time gather at DUP. Before we dismiss, we take our new bags and clothes after the taklimat. Tomorrow it is the time to rock and roll for my USM first camp. Yeah ! 

What course I choose?

Today is the day that I apply for my course in my first semester in 2012. First of all, Lee and I went to the Pusat Pengajian Komunikasi to find our advice teachers. I meet my advice teacher Doc Yoke Lim, we start chi-chat regarding about our course. The worst thing happen is, I keep on mention the wrong term, I say marks instead of units. This Doc caught my verb mistakes for 4 times, unbelievable… She advices me to take minor course first in my first semester, so I try to decide either management or psychology. I had a dream, I want to open a shop of “Gu Bak Mee” (beef noodles famous in KB), that’s why I need some management skills. In the other hand, psychology course is also one of my considering course, because I need this skills to persuade more people next time. Finally I decided to take psychology as my minor course. Unexpected and unbelievable…

Afternoon, we have a library briefing session at DTSP again. Our university library are so high-tech enough by using E-register, E-key to do our researches, it means we no need to find the books manually, one-by-one, we just need to type in the key word to find it. At the end, the emcee made an announcement that Walkrobik maybe will cancel because of raining outside and shift it in to DTSP. First, a Doc lead us to do some aerobic dance with come by 4 background songs, definitely got “GangNam Style” … So cool … We dance among different culture, different races, but we all have a same vision – 1 Malaysia. The miracle thing is we won the champion for our cheers since 7 years ago Tekun never win before. We are so hyper excited…

Language talk this morning, I feel very SIENZ, fall asleep again as usual. One thing that very funny is, while I’m walking I also fall asleep, and I almost feel down. Lucky some helpful friends keep on carry me up when I’m falling down.

Every time saw people late, but this time sendiri late. PPSL told us to gather at café at 3pm, but Lee and I went late. This is because we are too tired, we don’t know they rang the alarm, can’t hear it. Continue to practice our Tekun’s cheers for the Walkrobik fight tomorrow. These are our cheers:

We all so enjoying, we are all ready to brake a new record, Tekun must win this time. Fight for tomorrow Walkrobik Kampus, so excited. At night, don’t know what stupid talk, all about integrity, boring… Reach my room, after bath, I thought I can just continue my blog and Facebook before I sleep, who knows … Mr. Han Loong comes to our room for our first roommates discussion for our course applying tomorrow morning. What!!! OMG!!! So fast need to apply, we all keep on counting our units and discuss what course we should take and shouldn’t. So annoying … :P 

Wow, Chinese alot lei ...

Early in the morning, we need to gather at the café at 7am. Because of my laziness of preparing breakfast, I decided to try our café’s breakfast. I bought a small plate of Nasi Lemak plus 1 small nugget cost me rm1.20. Today is the day when I finally meet my all course mates. In my observation, I saw many Chinese girls also studying communications. Wahh … Total of 50 plus Chinese student in communications out of 126 students, consider not bad. We Chinese guys have a total of 8 while the Chinese girls got 40 plus, incredible. Dint aspect so many leng luisss in our course. I really can’t know them 1 by 1 because too many, I’m thinking that I probably will know them more when PIMPIN Siswa camp. I’m quite glad because my guru penasihat are a Chinese women, it’s much easy for me to communicate in Chinese. This time, I finally understand what college students always mention the unit marks lahh… I need to reach a minimum 135 units in order to graduate.

Night time, again DTSP, very important talk, we call that KO-K, it means co-curriculum. We need to get an at least 3 units of points to graduate. I’ve saw the realistic of employer life that the speaker mention. Now days, employee needs a worker that full of holistic characteristics, leadership to change their organizations, not just only the CPGA. According to the requirement employee , the first requirement in order to employ is communication skills, while CPGA had a ranking of 17th. Are u serious me, 17? I’m shock and surprise…

I’m very appreciate what did PPSL Tekun thought us-The Tekun’s Cheers. “Tekun, so hot Tekun Boom Boom, so hot Tekun Boom Boom.” And also 4 more … Updates next time the four more. Can’t wait the events comes-Walkrobik Kampus. Too excited and hungry too …

Yawn … Awww … it’s already 7am. My roommate wakes me up, he is so responsible. My first breakfast in USM was milo plus biscuit, because need to save money mahh … Then later on need to gather back DTSP again for rehearsal opening ceremony and PTPTN talk. Today was lucky, we sit USM bus to DTSP. What a cold environment for me fishing there, really bored. During Q&A section, a funny incident happen just now, got one guy he say himself saya tao saya BODOH untuk memohon PTPTN ini. OMG, laugh die me! In the afternoon, we all have to go to DUP again for photography section for the kad pintar. Suddenly, I saw 1 person, she is so familiar. I wake towards her, and she say hello to me. I’m so surprise, it was Au Yang Cai Ying, my tuition classmate last time. We chi-chat for while there about 10 mins. It just only 4.30pm, still left 3 hours free time for me to spend with. But, I spend it quite “wisely” too. I spend the whole time browsing Facebook and Skype. I had been a long time never chat with Bai-Chen, finally the first time I video chat with her, from there knew that Taiwan hostel got air-cond, so cool.

During dinner, Desasiswa Tekun organized a jamuan for us. The food got Nasi Tomato, Ayam Tomato, Daging Masak Merah, Sayur, Popiah, Satay, Kuih, and orange jus.  It’s just not too good … L Later on, the head of the hostel shortly brief us about this hostel, about their facilities, activities, rules and some usual problem faced. That time I’m so sleepy, got a little bit regret why I dun spend the evening time for me to sleep. Haiz … Lucky I meet a new friend call Tee Ho. This guy speak dam fast and always like to “jak” me! 2 more girls I knew was Yi Ying and Jia Wei, they are from music school, so rare. I always will remember my senior, Zi Chong praise me I got the personalities of doing communication. J So happy…

Finally, I meet her, Mayday If … Then I knew beside her, still got 3 more girls from Komunikasi at Tekun, and 1 more male name Han Long besides than Lee. I can’t wait for tomorrow all Komunisasi student gather together, it’s the time for me to know more new friends and do prospecting. J

Again, very tired … ZZZ … 

First day at USM

Continue yesterday story… Someone so curious that what did I ate yesterday. I just told them, just only Mee Jawa, Mee Goreng, Chee Chiong Fan, Hokkien Mihun Mee, Assam Laksa, Cendol, ABC, Lobak, Ow Jian, Apam, Char Siu Porridge, Yao Yu Ong Choi, and also Penang famous food “Chao Kuey Tiao”… It’s so delicious…

Early in the morning, I feel very tired, looks like not enough sleep yesterday even though I slept at 11.30pm … Haiz … Enjoy my breakfast with a plate of Wan Tan Mee cost me RM2.80 only. On the way to USM, I’m so nervous and scare. After 10 mins, we reached USM. Wah Lao Wei, so many people. I thought pendaftaran season will takes a lot of time, mana tao it just need a 10 mins proses. We carry all our luggage by ourselves rather than wait the truck send the luggage to our hostel. Reach 7th floor, keep finding my room, suddenly I heard some familiar voice, I look back. Owhh … It was Lee Kam Fei. This world memang really small, I and Lee are roommates. I knew him before I enter USM. I’m quite lucky because the first day I can trust my roommate, I know his a good man.

5pm that time, PPSL gather everyone for briefing section, they teach us all the cheers that we need to perform next time. It’s was quite creative, nice, but they say they tidak dapat menang before, because terlalu ramai orang. 6.15pm finish briefing, walk to the canteen, saw long-q, lazy to eat my dinner there, so I decided to eat bread. L We need to dress formal for 6 to 7 days for our whole orientation week. I’m quite special because I wear a big new coat bought from Taiwan.

We gather at 7pm, 7.30pm only start moving. 8pm only reach the DPSL, our biggest hall in USM. Walao, 5 star style, quite pretty, not bad. Thanks to the head of USM guiding us and share history about USM. At night, 12.30pm only reach hostel. It’s was so tired.
